Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Hillcrest Hardware ("we") collects through hillcrest-hardware.com and our trade account portal, and how we use it.
What we collect
- Contact details you send us: name, company, email, phone, buyer type and message (price book and trade account requests).
- Trade account details: your login email and the business account it's linked to.
- Order and billing records: orders you place, invoices, payment status and shipping notes. These are kept in our accounting system, QuickBooks Online.
- Basic technical data our hosting provider records automatically, such as IP address and browser type, for security and troubleshooting.
Payments
Online payments are processed by Intuit QuickBooks Payments on Intuit's secure pages. We never see or store your full card or bank account numbers.
How we use it
- To answer requests, send price books and set up trade accounts.
- To process, ship and invoice orders, and to show your orders and invoices in the portal.
- To send transactional email such as sign-in links, order confirmations and invoices.
We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only service providers that run our business on our behalf: Intuit (QuickBooks accounting and payments), Netlify (website hosting), Resend (email delivery) and HubSpot (customer records). We may also disclose information when required by law.
Cookies
The trade portal uses one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising cookies.
Retention and your choices
We keep business records as long as needed for accounting and tax purposes. You can ask us to update your contact details, or to close your portal login, at any time by emailing sales@hillcrest-hardware.com.
Security
The site uses HTTPS throughout. Portal sign-in uses single-use email links instead of passwords, and each login can only see its own account.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above.
